On the edges of politics
subject and political horizons in the defense of the territory in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, a bridge to understand the resistance to the 4T megaprojects

The article addresses the correspondence between praxis, subject in struggle and construction of emancipatory
horizons from the experience of the movement in defense of the territory in the Oaxacan plain of the Isthmus of
Tehuantepec, and the relationship it has with the plans for territorial expansion of capital in the region, through megaprojects,
operated under the government of the “Fourth Transformation” (4T). For this purpose, the capacity for insubordination
and confrontation is placed in the praxis of the articulated regional subject from the Isthmus, as opposed to its
subordinate position within the Mexican state and the path of political participation to which it is constrained. With this,
an attempt is made to build an analytical bridge -from the perspective of the subjects in struggle- with other experiences
of socio-territorial struggles in Mexico, in the context of the arrival of a government that gives an alternative nuance to
that of those who preceded it.
