In the following research I seek to rethink research in social and cultural studies, analyzing two cases of field
work during the pandemic situation that we are living by COVID-19 from the Abya Yala. The research is qualitative and
descriptive, where the field work was conducted by action-research with a critical pedagogy approach of the cases of the
“Decolonial and Marxist virtual discussion and reading group” and “Open access series-debate about Avatar: The Legend
of Aang”. The results of this research show that the two cases analyzed constitute popular, virtual, and open-access exercises
of construction and socialization of knowledge and saberes.
